As the 2024/2025 season comes to an end and we look forward to next season, the LLSCs wanted to share a quick programming update for next season. While most of our current programs will remain intact with minor changes, we will be introducing one additional program option for U12 athletes next season. We will be adding Grizzlies U12 as a program option. The intention of this program is to give our young athletes some more to develop fundamental skiing skills and help bridge the gap into entering a more competitive pathway. Parent meetings were held last weekend to introduce Grizzlies U12 as well as all the program options available to U12s. If you missed the meetings and have questions, please reach out to our Grizzlies Head Coach Emily Clarke. The 2025 Doug Meyers Invitational, held on April 5 & 6, was an unforgettable celebration of young ski talent and community spirit. Saturday saw our U6 and U8 athletes take over the race venue, impressing fans with their fearless skiing and growing skills. Meanwhile, the U10 and U12 competitors put on a show in the moguls, obstacle course, speed trap, and long jump—demonstrating incredible versatility and energy across all challenges. Sunday brought a venue swap, and the excitement continued. The U10 and U12 athletes raced with intensity and precision, delivering tight times and thrilling performances. Not to be outdone, the U6 and U8 athletes showed everyone that size doesn’t limit speed or airtime—proving that heart and talent come in small packages. A huge thank you goes out to Lake Louise Ski Resort for their incredible support, providing multiple venues across the mountain and making an event of this scale possible. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the ROC for their tireless organization, and to all the volunteers whose hard work and dedication made this weekend run smoothly. Your teamwork and passion brought the DMI to life—thank you! We can't wait to see everyone again next year! Emily ClarkeGrizzlies Head Coach |
