Freeride Comp Season is a Wrap

​With comp season coming to a close I want to extend a huge congratulations to all athletes that competed this winter! 

Our club has had an amazing competition season with many great results! Here are some key take aways from this season that I want to bring to light:

• All of our first-time competitors! I hope now you all have the Freeride bug, continue forging a path outside of your comfort zones with this amazing sport!
• Our club's first athlete to compete at Freeride Junior Worlds, Sam Ogryzlo ending his Junior career with an amazing 8th place finishing in Austria!
• Strong club showings at the Kimberley and Castle 2* events! Podiums/ top 5 finishes in pretty much every category at both events.
• Two athletes currently qualified for the IFSA Junior Freeride Championship, with many more very close to qualifying as well!

Over my three seasons with the club, it has been so inspiring to watch all athletes learn, progress, and build each other up to the high level of competition that is in Freeride today. We see this every weekend at the Lake, but it has also been especially visible at each competition we have attended as a club. I have lost count of how many times I have been approached by coaches from other clubs who have had nothing but great things to say about our athletes. 

Athletes, I am so proud of all of you and you should all be proud of what you accomplished this season!
