We are proud to announce that the Lake Louise Ski Club will have three athletes representing us on the Alberta Ski Team this coming season. Caleb Brooks starts his third year with the AST after a successful sophomore season where he skied to an impressive 3rd place in the 2024 National Championship Slalom. Caleb is a proud LLSC alumni and also works with two of our largest club partners, the Lake Louise Ski Area and Gear Up Mountain Sports, as he pursues his ski racing goals. He still participates in club events and comes to train with our younger athletes whenever he gets the chance. Katie Smith came to the Lake Louise Ski Club to start her FIS journey and after three years of hard work and dedication goes into this year representing the Alberta Ski Team. Katie thrives on hard work; when she is not in the gym, spends much of her summer building bike trails in Canmore or working on the farm. We are excited to watch her continue her grow as an athlete and find success with the AST. Kyleigh McConnell is a born and raised Lake Louise Ski Club athlete who loves everything there is to do with skis on her feet, and is relentless when she sets her sights on a goal. Her ability to tackle challenges head on, and to learn and grow through difficult experiences will no doubt set her up to take on being an AST rookie this season. Congratulations to all three of these athletes. They are an inspirations to younger members of the LLSC and we look forward to following their season as winter 2024:25 gets started.
