Movie Night: Out of the Ordinary​
The Lake Louise Ski Club is bringing the excitement of chasing winter to the big screen! Join us on Monday, November 3 at the Cardel Theatre in Calgary for a special screening of Out of the Ordinary, a freeski film by Head/Tyrolia.  This is you chance to see this film before it's official release to the public November 22nd. ​

We will now be running a Used Winter Clothing Drive in support of  Spirit North as part of this event!

Doors open at 6:00 PM,  The film begins at 6:45 PM, and tickets are just $10 — available now through Zeffy.

Spirit North transforms the lives of Indigenous youth. Spirit North is in need of the following:

- shoes ( winter boots / running shoes as clean as possible ) 
- toques 
- gloves 
- winter jackets ( especially XL and L ) 
- snow pants ( especially XL and L ) 
- XC equipment

Items should be lightly used, functional, require no fixing and work in outdoor environments. 

Synopsis: Out of the Ordinary is the third installment in HEAD Freeskiing’s film series but don’t expect a sequel. This isn’t just a follow-up to Beyond and Unified. It’s a detour - equal parts tribute, chaos, and confession, the film dives headfirst into the beautifully bizarre world of skiing and the HEAD team individuals who make it what it is.

​Told through lodge life misadventures, impulsive strike missions, DIY jump zones, and endless ski touring days. From the Arlberg to the Sunnmøre Alps, AK to Japan, and of course BC, Out of the Ordinary captures the soul of a team bonded by obsession, oddball charm, and pure powdery stoke.

From winding Fjord pavement to plywood outhouses with million-dollar views, this film embraces skiing in all its unpredictable glory. Featuring Freeride World Tour champions, backcountry icons, Olympic medalists, and one of a kind individuals, Out of the Ordinary is a reminder of why we chase winter and why we never really grow out of it.
