LLSCs CLUB UPDATES

That's a Wrap

Dear Lake Louise Ski Club Members,

As I look back on the season, there are many things I would like to highlight from each of our family of clubs.

Grizzlies grew by 35% which is a testament to our existing membership, the coaches and of course Emily who set out to build an empire which she labelled “Little people, Big club.” The attention to detail, the communication and compassion for developing young athletes is second to none within this club and is the reason the future of the club is as strong as ever.

Freeride has undergone an official name change as we’ve successfully transitioned into Freestyle club. We have invested in the staff’s education and certifications which now allows us to offer a full invert program and will have athletes going inverted in 2025-26. Liam and his team always bring the stoke and watching the athletes grow with the club as it continuously evolves has been a real pleasure.

Race along with the help of volunteers up and down the club and within the greater race community successfully hosted world class events and the club’s first NorAm which was well received from the international community. The Juniper race venue came to life after three years of working with the resort with the timing infrastructure which includes the timing barge. Jenn, Phil, Avery and Mara put their heart and soul into your athletes, and we can’t thank them enough.

For those of you who are moving on from the club, your ski family at the Lake will last a lifetime, and we wish you all the best and hope to see you on the slopes again sometime soon.

Lastly, I would like to thank Steph who works tirelessly for everyone one of you behind the scenes and truly cares about the clubs more than most of you will ever know.

As we transition to hiking boots and bike shoes, I’d like to wish you all a wonderful summer knowing that your staff are evaluating the season that was and looking to enhance 2025-26.

Have the best summer ever!
