Holiday Silent Auction - Donation Information
Hello LLSCs Families,
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to support our online holiday auction. We wanted to provide more information and guidance around donations we are seeking from our membership.
This is the first time the LLSC has run an online auction and we are very excited about it’s potential as a major fundraising initiative. We are hoping that with your support and generosity, that it will make a significant difference for our athletes and our club. If it is successful we will make it a new LLSC annual fundraiser.
Funds raised from the silent auction will help our club in several ways. We use the funds to reduce financial barriers and ensure skiing remains accessible to as many families as possible. Funds are also used for safety and race equipment, volunteer and coach development, and technology for performance analysis to improve athlete development.
An online auction has the advantage of being open for anyone to bid on items, regardless of where they live and if they have athletes in the club. We are hoping that the auction will be shared widely and that it is not only LLSC families bidding on items. Once it's live, please feel free to share the auction with your friends and family!
We are asking all participating families to donate an item with a minimum value of $50 per athlete. Of course, if you'd like to contribute an item of greater value, we'd be incredibly grateful. Donations can be combined, for example, if you have two athletes, you might choose to donate one item with a value of $100 or more.
We have a team approaching local businesses, therefore we are asking families to either purchase items or approach a business they have a connection with. We are hoping to avoid contacting the same business multiple times. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the fundraising committee if you are considering approaching a business.

Sporting goods and outdoor gear
Ski clothing or accessories
Home décor, scented candles, gourmet food, or other gift-worthy treats
Family experiences, activities, or accommodation
Restaurant vouchers
Please note that we are looking for non-perishable and new items only and are unable to accept second-hand donations.
Once your donation is ready, please email fundraising@lakelouiseskiclubs.ca with a brief description and we will coordinate collection or delivery with one of our volunteers. Please have your donation ready by October 17, 2026.
