U12–FIS

At Lake Louise Ski Club, our race programs are built around long-term athlete development in a fun, inclusive, and athlete-centred environment. Athletes progress through stages that emphasize skill development, confidence, teamwork, accountability, and personal ownership, while fostering a lifelong love of skiing and mountain sport. Across all levels, we strive to support both personal and athletic excellence through quality coaching, strong club values, and opportunities for growth through training, free skiing, competition, and personal development.

As athletes move through the club, programs evolve to match their stage of development and closely follow the Long-Term Athlete Development model, balancing increasing training opportunities with age-appropriate expectations and support. Early stages focus on fun, fundamentals, and building strong habits, while older athletes are encouraged to take greater ownership of their performance, goals, and long-term development. Throughout every stage, we remain committed to creating a positive environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and connected to their team and community.

Entry Requirements: Race programming is designed for athletes progressing from Grizzlies Plus or G12, for skiers who have previously participated in another race program, or for skiers who already demonstrate strong technical skills. Confidence across varied terrain, a passion for skiing, and a willingness to learn and grow within the race environment are essential.
