Diston Anti-Cut Garments Still Available
As ski edges continue to become sharper, the risk of cuts and related injuries has increased for everyone on snow. Currently, cut-resistant bottoms are required only for our FIS athletes. However, as a club, we strongly encourage all families to consider cut-resistant clothing for their athletes.
We have seen firsthand how effective cut-resistant apparel can be in preventing serious injuries. The photo below shows the cut-resistant base layer worn by one of our U14 racers last season after contact with a ski edge. While the clothing was damaged, it helped protect the athlete from what could have been a much more severe injury.
To help make this important safety equipment more accessible, Diston is offering bulk discounted pricing on their FIS-certified cut-resistant products for ski clubs. Pricing is based on the total number of items ordered. We have already reached the second discount tier and are only a few items away from qualifying for the highest discount level of 35% off regular retail pricing.
The deadline to participate in the bulk order is September 15. After that date, Diston's standard club discount will continue to be available throughout the season through Ski Club Pro for individual purchases. However, the bulk order represents the best pricing available and the most affordable way to outfit your athlete with high-quality cut-resistant base layers.
