Early Season Volunteer Opportunities

All inquiries about volunteering can be directed to our Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer@lakelouiseskiclubs.ca.

The ski season is quickly approaching, and we have several volunteer opportunities available. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Volunteer Opportunities with Financial Credits

Calgary New and Used Ski Sale (10 credits per shift)

LLSC is one of three clubs responsible for organizing and running the Calgary New and Used Ski Sale. Along with our casinos, this is one of the club’s largest fundraisers and one of the few opportunities for members to earn financial credits toward the volunteer bond. Like casino shifts, ski sale shifts are offered at a premium because they provide direct funding to the club. Volunteer sign-up opens tomorrow, September 8. Please register early for the best selection of dates and times, as shifts filled quickly last year.

If you are registering for Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday evening shifts, please consider a consignment role. LLSC plays a key role in coordinating consignment, so these shifts are especially important.

Athletes aged 16 and older are eligible to volunteer. This is a great opportunity for older athletes to earn their own volunteer points.

Volunteering at the ski sale supports both the clubs and its members. All volunteers receive access to the Thursday evening pre-sale after set-up is complete, regardless of which day they volunteer, providing an opportunity to shop before the sale opens to the public.

Volunteer Opportunities with Community Credits

Volunteer Coordinator (20 credits)

We are seeking one additional volunteer coordinator to support our current team. This role works within a three-person team, making the time commitment manageable. Volunteer coordinators serve as the main point of contact for members regarding club volunteer opportunities and track family volunteer credits throughout the season.

Banquet Committee (15 credits)

We are seeking three to four volunteers to organize the year-end awards banquet. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Coast Hotel, managing ticket sales, arranging decorations, and supporting other event details. The time commitment is manageable, as this role is shared within a team.

Photographers (credits determined case by case)

We are seeking photographers to help capture the story of our season by photographing training sessions, races, and club events. Photos may be used in club communications, social media, and year-end materials. Volunteer credits will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope of involvement.

All inquiries about volunteering can be directed to our Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer@lakelouiseskiclubs.ca.
