We will be accepting applications for the 2026-2027 season in the spring of 2026

The Lake Louise Ski Clubs (LLSC) will set aside up to 2% of program fees with the intent that the funds go to athletes/families who are struggling short term with the cost of keeping their athlete involved in ski programming with LLSCs.  The Clubs will take into consideration the athlete’s character as well as financial need.  Athlete’s will be eligible for up to 50% of their base program price.
Scholarship Eligibility:
  1. Athletes must exemplify all aspects of our RISE philosophy
  2. Athletes must be returning members to the LLSC family of clubs
  3. Athletes must be registered in a program that is on snow at least 2 days a week.
  4. To be considered the athlete must participate in the majority of programming offered in the previous season.
  5. This bursary can be awarded to a family up to 3 times.

Selection Criteria:
Applicants must apply to Member Services ([email protected]) by May 15, 2025, for the 2025-2026 season with a letter outlining the following:
  • Statement of financial addressing how the funds will be used to enable continued participation in ski programming as well as the circumstances causing the need.
  • Demonstration of the RISE philosophy.  Please describe how your athletes personifies our RISE philosophy both on and off snow.

    • Supportive:WE WILL SUPPORT ALL TEAMMATES & COMPETITORS
    • ​Effort: ALWAYS WORKING HARD, STAYING SAFE, ALWAYS HAVING FUN

Scholarship Selection:
An independent selection committee will review all applications received by May 15.  Decisions will be based on the selection criteria above included in the application letter as well as a conversation with the athlete’s most recent coach.
 
The LLSCs Committee will decide by June and notify all applicants.
Kidsport Alberta:
If you would like to have your athlete participate in one of our one day a week program and need financial assistance, you can apply for the KidSport Alberta Provincial Grant and or Jumpstart Grants.  Applications can be completed online at https://kidsportcanada.ca/alberta/ and https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants.  If you are receiving this grant, please contact Member Services ([email protected]).


NOTE: The KidSport and Jumpstart grants can be combined with the LLSCs Scholarship for athletes in our 2 day a week programs.
