WHAT IS SAFE SPORT?
Safe Sport is creating a safe and inclusive environment for all participants including athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers during sport experiences. It is important that all participants recognize the unique part that they play in Safe Sport to ensure that all participants have a positive experience sport.

SAFE SPORT TRAINING
Safe Sport training is delivered through the Canadian Coaches Association of Canada and in a free online course. All coaches are required to take this training and update every two years. The LLSC also highly recommends that all parents take this training to become educated the signs of maltreatment in sport.
Training is free and accessed though the NCCP Locker. The course is online and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

ITP Sport - Safe Sport Session hosted by Alberta Alpine
This is a Safe Sport information session that is intended for parents. Its goal is to bring more awareness to Safe Sport as it will help you understand what Safe Sport is, what it is not and how to go about reporting incidents.
