2025-2026
VOLUNTEER POLICY

This policy applies to any family participating with the Lake Louise Athlete Development Association (LLADA), the Lake Louise Ski Club (Race), the Lake Louise Grizzlies Ski Club (Grizzlies) and the Lake Louise Freeride Ski Club (Freeride), together, the Lake Louise Ski Clubs (LLSC).

Parent volunteers are the foundation of the LLSC. This policy outlines the volunteer requirements and opportunities for the 2025 - 2026 season. We encourage all member families to contribute to our community throughout the year. Volunteering is not only essential for the operation of our programs and keeping fees as low as possible but also provides opportunities for parents to model the RISE principles of Respect, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Excellence that LLSC stands for to their athletes.

In addition to fulfilling necessary roles, volunteering fosters a strong social community and provides an excellent opportunity to build relationships with other members. The shared experiences and collaborative efforts help to create lasting connections and a supportive environment for both athletes and their families. While volunteering is a requirement of LLSC, the personal growth, ski community bonding, and sense of accomplishment when delivering incredible programs and events for our athletes is invaluable. Thank you!

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
  • Each member must participate in at least one financial opportunity and one community building opportunity.
  • Members can opt-out of volunteering by paying an additional fee per athlete.
  • Families with more than two athletes only need to collect points for up to two athletes. (i.e., if a family has more than two athletes, they will only be required to volunteer for two athlete points).
  • A volunteer package will be added to each athlete’s cart at registration. A $1 deposit will be taken, with the balance post-dated until May 15, 2026.
  • If full points are earned, the payment will be cancelled.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DEADLINES
It is your responsibility to ensure your family’s credit tracking is accurate by May 1, 2026.
  • After this date, your family will incur administrative fees incurred for the payment(s) to be refunded.
  • For families with three or more athletes, Member Services will adjust the package accordingly.
