With the the support of GearUp, we are proud to provide each athlete in the club with a RISE bag tag as a reminder of our RISE philosophy. At the Lake Louise Ski Club, RISE stands for Respect, Inclusion, Support, and Effort. This philosophy shines in everything we do, promoting athletic development and character growth.

Our RISE Athletes of the Month are given a special spotlight, earning their very own RISE hat. In addition to this recognition, our RISE Coaches of the Month receive a RISE hat and a complimentary GearUp tune. It's a way to acknowledge and celebrate excellence within our club, from our talented athletes to our dedicated coaches.

This ongoing discount ensures that maintaining your equipment is affordable and hassle-free.  It's as easy as mentioning you are with the Lake Louise Ski Clubs when you drop off your gear. 

For families who prefer to maintain their skis between professional tunes, GearUp has you covered with a good selection of wax and tuning equipment in stock, and they have even more arriving soon. This means you can take control of your gear's maintenance and performance.

We are incredibly excited to announce a new partnership with Ski West.  Ski West is generously donating a $1000 gift card to each of our Skier for Life Bursary recipients starting this year!

This bursary program was started by the club in 2021 and is intended to help keep athletes involved in competitive alpine skiing.  The club sets aside 2% of the previous seasons' program fees to help families by providing up to a 50% discount on an athletes basic fees.  Ski West's partnership in the program will go a long way in achieving the Clubs' goal of keeping young athletes in the sport!

Come out and support our current Alberta Ski Team athletes, including LLSCs alum Caleb Brooks, as well as the upcoming Development Team, including LLSC current FIS athletes Olivier Brooks, Kyleigh McConnell and Kate Smith!

Unable to attend and you would still like to support our athletes?  Alberta Alpine is still accepting donations for their silent auction.  All funds raised from the auction will go directly towards the athletes costs this season. Please contact Genevieve Giroux for more information.

I'd like to take a moment to thank each of you who have already registered yourself as a volunteer with Alberta Alpine this season. 

For those who have not, this is a friendly reminder that every parent with the club needs to be registered independently of their athlete.  This fee replaces the Family Membership you have had to purchase in past seasons.  This change is in anticipation of Safe Sport agreement requirements for individuals.

It is important to note that it is essential for all parents that this be completed before their athletes start on snow this fall as you will not be able to volunteer without completing the registration.

We are extremely excited to once again be partnering with Mountain Guide, and club parent Lisa Paulson, to offer our membership a numerous options to expand their snow safety and avalanche skills knowledge this season.  Lisa brings her passion and extensive experience to our parents and athletes though both on and off snow education through program options including AST 1 & AST 2 courses, hands on refresher courses, youth safety courses focusing on safety within the resort boundaries, etc.

The ski sale is rapidly approaching and there are still a few spots, most importantly on Sunday. 

This is the last opportunities to get your financial credit that is required for your volunteer commitment for the 2023-2024 season and you will earn 10 points per shift worked. All Mountain and Grizzlies families can earn all required credits for the season by working 2 shifts! 

The club is hosting a 50/50 raffle during the Calgary New & Used Ski Sale. Our intentions are to target a population outside of the club and to keep this one out of your inboxes. We do want to give club members the to option to purchase tickets in advance if they are interested and hope that you share amongst your friends and family.  We are hoping this sells out quickly! The draw opens on Monday October 16th and the winner will be drawn on Sunday October 22nd at the Calgary New & Used Ski Sale.

The Lake Louise Ski Clubs is excited to offer a fun dryland training opportunity at Fitset Ninja.  to athletes born 2010 to 2015 from all three clubs. This program will help our athletes develop strength, agility, coordination, balance and body awareness in a unique and challenging environment. We are very excited for our athletes to be able to work with Fitset Ninja. 
 
This program will be delivered  6pm -7pm on:

• October 15th
• October 22nd
• October 29th

The cost for all 3 sessions is $89.25.
