Breckenridge Junior Freeride Championship

Lake Louise All Mountain Club is proud to announce that Hannah Lang and Sam Ogryzlo both qualified and competed this past weekend, at the 2024 Junior Freeride Championship in Breckenridge. Qualifying for the JFC is no small feat and both Hannah and Sam have put years of hard work and dedication in the sport to get to this point. It was exciting to watch both Sam and Hannah compete against the top Freeride Athletes across the America’s this past weekend!
 
Congratulations to Hannah Lang on finishing 20th in U15 Ski Women at the JFC and placing 31st in the America’s IFSA region! Hannah has come so far as a skier this past season, and we cannot wait to watch her continued athletic development over the next few years!
 
Congratulations to Sam Ogryzlo on finishing out his last season in the U19 Ski Men category with a 4th place finish, placing 4th overall in the America’s, and taking the top Canadian spot! Sam has had an amazing competition season with some outstanding finishes that has led him to be one of the top athletes in his category this season. Next to being an athlete, Sam has been an outstanding coach for LLAMSC over the past two seasons, and it has been exciting to watch him grow as a coach and athlete concurrently!
 
Thank you to Theo Van Zyl, Rhett Johnson, and Liam Grier for your continued support of both Hannah and Sam. As coaches, your dedication, support, and skill has helped Hannah, Sam and other athletes alike achieve their goals! 
 
We would also like to give a Lake Louise shoutout to Sophie Erfle and John Maffey from ULLR Big Mountain. Sophie placed 18th in the JFC U15 Ski Women Category and 13th overall in the America’s! John placed 24th in the JFC U19 Ski Men Category and 27th overall in the America’s! Huge thank you to the ULLR coach Lou Panning-Osendorp for joining forces with us over the course of the JFC and adding valuable input throughout the week!
